Kuwa Wenyewe Concept

Kuwa Mwenyewe is the idea and the principle to truly own who we are, our talents, arts, skill and profession and to utilize them to impact positively in society to enhance and actualize synergy towards sustainable growth and development.

Kuwa Mwenyewe is Swahili to mean “To Be the Owner” and it defines ownership not just as a matter of material possession but the individual’s ability to claim a position of responsibility in the society.

Kuwa Mwenyewe therefore implies that we own our society using our God-given Gifts to sculpt, to draw, to construct, to build, to sing, to speak, to reach, to teach; to think, to create, and to establish long lasting socio-economic obelisks that will remain significant now and in the future to come when generations will bear witness of what a progressive generation has done.

The principle enhances individual responsibility in that each recognizes we all have a responsibility to solve problems in our community and develop our society using our gifts, talents, knowledge and professional skills.

This is the guiding philosophy of our organization and it forms the blueprint of our mentorship programs, talent development and community development programs.
